Art to enrich your everyday

With each stitch I hope you see the tactile, colorful, and whimsical side of life and smile

Doing a little part for the environment

It was an unexpected acknowledgement of my role in creating art that is environment friendly. A visitor to the Farmers Market saw my art and heard of my technique; recycling clothes (my families, mine or yours) into Fabric Art, as I call it. Makayla Lucero, a channel 9 weather and ECO9 (#Environment Matters) reporter, created a video feature of my work, “Virginia mom uses recycled clothing to make art.” Referring to me as a Mom” is a nice tribute to my daughters where this art began, I wanted to keep a memory of their catholic school uniform and as it turns out I am helping the environment as well. As Makayla stated, “ …millions of tons of clothes end up in landfills every single year. One of our neighbors in Falls Church, Veronica Howard, is doing her part..” See the video and I look forward to seeing you at the Farmers Market or get in touch via this website.
